Hi ATT, a friend has an older MacBook and she tells me the keyboard is stuck on all caps. I do not know more than that. Any suggestions. She has already rebooted. Thanks, Lynniepennie
There are several reasons why the MacBook could be stuck in ALL CAPS mode. As a first step, try resetting the PRAM on the Mac by following these steps:
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Try it on the MacBbok keyboard first and if it doesn’t work, try it using an external keyboard connected to the computer.
If neither of those things work it could mean a broker Caps Lock ket which would require a visit to you nearest Apple Store.
Hope that works. Let us knows.
