About Aukey

From the Aukey web site:

“AUKEY® combines the latest technologies with over a decade of hardware expertise to design and build solid, reliable consumer electronics and mobile tech accessories. We are a team of techies with a common appreciation for the finer details and utility of great products. From USB-C accessories to smartphone lenses to Bluetooth audio products, we are continuously developing and expanding our product portfolio to bring you practical, next generation tech to complement and elevate your digital lifestyle.”

We first learned about Aukey in 2016 as part of our review of the Crucial MX300 SSD (read or review here). We needed a 2.5” drive external enclosure and after checked out several, selected the Aukey USB 3.0 HDD Enclosure.

Since then, we have purchased a similar Aukey 2.5” enclosure with a USB-C connection for our 2017 MacBook Pro which has USB-C ports. (You can see the Aukey USB-C enclosure in our 2018 Holiday Gift Guide here).

Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger – Unboxing

Like other Aukey products we purchased, the Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger (Model # LC-C6), is delivered in a plain brown box, but don’t let the packaging fool you.  There is nothing cheap about the contents.

In the box is the Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger, a Micro USB cable, a multi-language User Guide and a warranty card.  The charging pad itself was wrapped in a protective sleeve.

The Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger measures just 3.4” (87mm) square, 0.47” (12mm) high and weighs just 2.05oz (58g).  You would have no trouble slipping the charging pad into your pocket or laptop bag for travel.

Aukey LC-C6 Wireless Charging Pad Dimensions

Included is a 3.3’ (1m) USB cable. You may find it a little short to reach a nearby electrical outlet but is a good length if you intend to connect the charging pad to a USB port on your desktop computer.  That said, we have seen other similarly priced charging pads that didn’t include a cable at all so this was a pleasant surprise.

If you do want a different length cable, Aukey offers a variety of multi-pack Micro USB cables on Amazon.

Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger – Test Results

We connected the Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger to our OEM Apple iPhone power cube, using the included Micro USB cable. A small LED on the front edge of the charging pad glows red to indicate the charging pad is in Stand-by mode.  Placing our iPhone XS on the pad turned the LED green and we immediately got the charging confirmation tone from our iPhone.

We should point out that we use the ESR Mimic Tempered Glass Case for our iPhone, but there was no issue using the Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger with the case installed.

We have also heard some people complain that their phone slides off the charging pad.  We did not have that experience and felt the iPhone was securely resting on the charging pad’s top surface.

Aukey LC-C6 Wireless Charging Pad

We like the overall design of the Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger.  The top finish and narrow metal trim around the outer edge adds a touch of style that makes this look appropriate on even the most formal desk.  There are also small rubber feet on the bottom of the pad to protects the surface you put it on.  These are nice features compared to some similarly prices wireless charging pads that look and feel like not much for than a plastic disk.

But the Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger is also a serious piece of equipment with safety features including temperature control, foreign object detection, and power input monitoring to ensure your iPhone will be safe.  The Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger will Fast charge any Qi-compatible devices at up to 10W of power.

The Bottom Line

When we first heard about wireless charging, we were admittedly a bit skeptical.  Since the charging pad must be plugged in to a power source antway, why not just use a charging cable?  Having tried the Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger, we are willing to admit, we were wrong.

The ability to simply place your phone of the charging pad and pick it up to use without the need to plug it in and unplug it is actually a very nice feature.

We like the overall design of the Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger and appreciate that it worked even with our iPhone XS in a case. (Aukey says it will work with most cases less that 3mm think).

Like most of the Aukey products, the Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger comes with a 24 month warranty against manufacturer’s defects.

You can find this and other great products on the AUKEY web site.

We would like to thank the folks at Aukey for providing the Aukey Graphite Lite Q 10W Wireless Fast Charger for our testing and review.
