KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger – Unboxing
Part of the beauty of the KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger is its simplicity and that carries through to the packaging as well.
In the box is the KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger (Model # KV-PC002), an AC power cable with a US 110V plug, a Thank You card with information to contact Customer Support and a multi-language User Guide.
While our test unit came with the US power cord, the user Guide makes it clear that a country appropriate cord is included for other countries as needed.
KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger – Specifications
The KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger has clean lines that work nicely with its small size. The charger measure just 2.99” long x 1.61” wide x 1.61” high (76mm x 40.9’’ x 40.9mm).
The unit is a self-switching charger and supports input power of 100 – 240V 50/60 Hz, 15A Max.
The included power cord measures a full 5 feet, end to end and connects to the back of the unit with a common 2-prong female connector.
That means that should you need to travel where US voltage is not available, you need only to acquire a compatible power cord or a simple plug adapter.
The rear of the KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger has a lot of information printed on it and has the power cord outlet in the middle of the unit. Other than connecting the power cord into the outlet, we don’t think you’ll spend much time here.
The front of the KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger is where all the action happens.
Mounted on the front of the KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger are two (2) USB-A style QC compliant inputs and two (2) USB-C PD outlets. At the very bottom are three (3) LEDs that light up when the charger is connected to a power source. There is also a small backlight in each of the USB ports.
The PD outlets provide 5V-3A, 9V-3A, 12V-3A, 15V-3A, 20V-3.25A with 65W Max.
The QC outlets provide 5V-3A, 9V-2A, 12V 1.5A with 18W MAX.
As the name implies, the charger can output a total of 65W which is shared between the four ports. That lets you charge a 15.4” MacBook Pro from 0 – 100% in just 2-hours or fast charge an iPhone 13 from 0 – 50% in just 30 minutes.
Of course, it doesn’t really matter how fast a charger is, if it’s not safe to use. The KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger has you covered with KOVOL’s exclusive Q-Plus charging technology which protects your equipment from short circuits, over-charging and over-current hazards.
The charger is powered by gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductors, which promotes superior heat management and charging performance.
KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger – Test Results
We tend to struggle when we review products like the KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger as there really isn’t much to test. Either it works or it doesn’t and in our case, the KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger performed well.
We had no trouble charging a couple of iPhones at the same time and was pleasantly surprised to see it has no trouble charging our 13” MacBook Pro along with our iPhone.
We love the slim design and small size of the overall unit. We think having a cord from the charger to the wall outlet is a great design, especially if you need to take the KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger on the road.
We are big fans of multi-unit chargers and have several the plug directly into the wall outlet. It sometimes is difficult to plug the charger into the power source because the outlet is behind a table, nightstand or other obstruction. Then we have to struggle to get the charging cords attached, because it’s difficult to see the USB outlet on the charger. That all goes away with the KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger. With the included 5’ cord, it is easy to plug in to almost any available power outlet and have the USB plugs out in the open where they can be easily reached.
The slight backlight of the USB ports is a nice touch and certainly helps locate the ports in a dark location. We’re not sure what purpose the three LEDs serve on the front, and why there are three. These LEDs are illuminated whenever the charger is powered, even if nothing is connected to the USB ports. But since the ports themselves glow when powered, the LEDs don’t really add anything. Even so, if the purpose of the LEDs are to show the unit is powered, a single LED would have worked just as well.
To be clear, this is not a negative of the unit. While the LEDs may not add anything to the KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger, they certainly don’t take anything away or detract from the overall design. We are merely making an observation. The Bottom Line
Whether at your desk, or on the road, you can never have too many options to charge your gear, and the KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger is ready to meet your needs no matter where you are.
The small size and sleek design make it easy to find a spot on your desk and can also easily slip into your backpack or purse.
Having both USB-A and USB-C ports ensures you can connect all of your gear without having to fear not having the right adapter available.

Measuring just 3.35” x 1.81” x 1.81” (85mm x 46mm x 46mm), it is only slightly larger than the KOVOL Sprint 65W Desktop Charger but provides a full 120W Max output, with simultaneous dual 60W PD output.
