The Best Home Renovation iOS Apps

Homeowners spent an average of $8,484 on home renovations in 2022, with 50% of people expecting to spend the same amount this year, Yahoo Finance reports. Although exciting to plan, home renovations can be complicated and time-consuming. That’s where home renovation apps can help. The best iOS home renovation apps are user-friendly and make planning, designing, and pulling off your remodeling project a breeze.

Homestyler (3D home décor app)

Homestyler is a 3D home décor app that helps you plan every stage of your renovation project. An accurate floor plan can be created from either a template, or a photo of your existing space. The free version is feature-rich – you have access to unlimited 1K 3D renderings of your floor plan, and even the ability to tour the design as you work on it via VR. You can also decorate your renovation with over 100,000 different furniture models, materials, structural features (such as, bay windows and sliding doors), and light fittings. You’re also able to switch freely between 2D and 3D as needed to perfect your plan. The paid plan starts from $15 a month and provides access to higher-quality renderings in 4K, 12K, 720P, and 1080P (alternatively, you can simply pay for these versions as you need them).

Home Improvement Calcs

Home Improvement Calcs takes care of the mathematical side of your renovation. It’s packed with over 250 calculations and unit conversions to simplify your project – whether you need to find out how many paver bricks are needed to complete your driveway, or the right ceiling fan size for your kitchen, for example. The results are easy to understand, and can be generated in either fractions or decimals. It can also calculate handy facts like leaking faucet water usage (the average leaky faucet wastes over 3,000 gallons per year). An unchecked leak can also put pressure on your plumbing system, and cause clogs, overflows, or extensive water damage. In this case, water damage restoration is essential to dry out your home and make it safe and livable once again. Moreover, the app also provides the option to create a favorites list of your favorite calculations, as well as the ability to email calculations to others when you need to share them.

 iScape landscape design

If your renovation involves landscaping, iScape is the app to help fulfill your vision. While the free version is decent – it features handy 2D and 3D augmented reality design tools – the paid version (costing $30 a month) provides access to all iScape’s features. For example, you can upload photos of your yard to more accurately plan your project. You’ll also get access to the iScape database of home products and plants. And, if you want some help, there’s also the option to team up with a trained landscape professional.

The Bottom Line

Home renovation apps can simplify all aspects of your project. Homestyler, Home Improvement Calcs, and iScape are just some of the best apps for iOS that can help bring your vision to life.
