Synology® America introduces DiskStation neo+ Series lineup, for high performance with competitive pricing

Synology® America launched the DiskStation neo+ Series, comprising four variations: DS725neo+, DS925neo+, DS1525neo+ and DS1825neo+.

“Desktop models remain at the heart of our NAS ecosystem,” said Executive VP of the Synology NAS Group Bie-I Chu. “As memory market dynamics shift, the neo+ Series reinforces our commitment to accessibility, giving customers the freedom to scale hardware according to their immediate budget and future growth.”

Added value at a more affordable entry

The neo+ series introduces a budget-friendly avenue to using Synology’s powerful DiskStation Manager (DSM) software, and its native solutions for data protection, collaboration and surveillance management. Additionally, under Synology’s recently announced multi-tier technical support program, all neo+ models include complimentary Advanced Support, featuring a four-hour weekday support response.

The neo+ series features built-in non-ECC memory, complementing the ECC-equipped DS Plus series and giving customers more flexibility to balance performance and value for their needs.

Hardware with uncompromising performance

All neo+ devices include 4GB non-ECC DDR4 SODIMM memory, two built-in M.2 slots for SSD caching, and two 2.5GbE ports, with storage capacity expandable through the Synology DX525 expansion unit.

For work with more demanding connections, the DS1825neo+ and DS1525neo+ also include a PCIe 3.0 slot to add optional 10GbE or 25GbE network cards.

The neo+ series architecture also fully supports existing ECC memory upgrades, allowing users to expand their capacity up to 32 GB as their workloads grow.1

Availability and Pricing

The Synology DiskStation neo+ Series is now available through participating Synology retailers: Amazon, B&H and Canada Computers. Please visit the Synology Website for more information.
